This will likely be the last update to the demo. I know I've said that before but it is likely true this time. When going in and testing some of the weapon mods, I wasn't happy with the balancing of some of them. This update is focused primarily on balance changes, however there are some technical changes.
Changes include:
- The internal way the cloak works was changed to streamline programming.
- Changed internal way the ambush shotgun works to accomodate changes to the cloak.
- The cloak now also can be deactivated by a stalker hitting you while in pursuit.
- A change was made to the grapple to reduce the chances of a player getting stuck in a wall when they don't have a clear shot to the grapple. The player is now teleported slightly behind the hook when they leave the play area so that they don't end up inside a wall.
- The secondary projectile for the split precision mod will now have proper collisions with walls.
- The sniper cooldown must now be depleted in order to launch the conduit with the split precision mod.
- The machine pistol mod was changed to not give style points when hitting an enemy (it is technically an automatic weapon)
- The machine pistol mod has had its recoil reduced to make it more practical over longer distances.
- The splitter pistol mod has been nerfed, with base bullet damage being reduced from 7 to 6.
- The finisher SMG mod has been changed so that you cannot switch weapons while the SMG unloads. This was done to remedy a change to this mod from a previous patch where it was possible to cancel the unload by switching weapons, making the finisher completely broken.
- The AR2 alt fire for the assault rifle has been buffed, with it doing 20 damage every time it hits an enemy instead of 15. It will also now remain for 33% longer.
- Fixed a bug where the pummel strike rocket launcher mod could load rockets when the player had no type 4 ammo, automatically firing a big burst when ammo was picked up.
- Fixed a bug that affected the Pulse Rifle Assault Rifle mod in a similar way.
- Fixed a bug where the sound for detonating mines using the mine layer grenade launcher mod could be played even if there were no mines on screen
- Fixed a bug where enemies may not properly take damage from multiple explosions in rapid succession when using either the mine layer or pummel strike mod.
